Your Secret Weapon to More Energy and Health
Glossary of Terms
B-Complex
A powerful combination of essential B vitamins (B1- thiamine, B2- riboflavin, B3- niacinamide, B5- pantothenic acid, B6- pyridoxine) these vitamins boost energy and enhance the immune and nervous system, as well as decrease stress and anxiety. These vitamins also play an important role in keeping our bodies running like well-oiled machines. These essential nutrients help convert our food into fuel, allowing us to stay energized.
Calcium
Your body needs calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Your heart, muscles and nerves also need calcium to function properly. Some studies suggest that calcium, along with vitamin D, may have benefits beyond bone health: perhaps protecting against cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure.
Copper
Copper is an essential nutrient for the body. Together with iron, it enables the body to form red blood cells. It helps maintain healthy bones, blood vessels, nerves, and immune function, and it contributes to iron absorption. Sufficient copper in the diet may help prevent cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis, too.
Glutathione
Raised levels of glutathione decrease muscle damage, reduce recovery time, increase strength and endurance and shift metabolism from fat production to muscle development. Glutathione is also the most critical and integral part of your detoxification system because it recycles antioxidants, slows the aging process, detoxifies the liver and cells, improves mental focus and clarity, reduces muscle and joint discomfort after physical activity and gives your skin a glow. It acts as a major detoxifier through a process called “conjugation” that gets all the bad stuff in your liver quickly escorted out (through urine and feces). We naturally have glutathione. We produce it in the liver and lungs. However, its production slows down as we age. Meaning more free radicals, more risk for disease.
L-Arginine
L-Arginine promotes improved circulation, strong immune-responses, and helps kidneys secrete waste products.
L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine is a useful amino acid that helps prevent certain congenital conditions such as chest pain (angina) and swelling of the heart (myocarditis)—a recent side effect after COVID-19 infection.
L-Citrulline
L-Citrulline new ongoing research has shown that this amino acid may help with boosting immunity, exercise, and athletic performance, as well as reducing the risk for high blood pressure in young adults.
L-Glutamine
L-Glutamine is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body, helping promote energy and athletic performance, boosting metabolism, and healthy weight loss.
L-Lysine
L-Lysine helps reduce anxiety by blocking stress receptors and allows your body to hold on to calcium, vital for bone health.
L-Ornithine
L-Ornithine helps relieve stress and improve sleep quality related to fatigue.
L-Taurine
An organic acid which acts as a lipid/membrane stabilizer in the body and can aid various antioxidant defense systems. Used to improve mental performance and as an antioxidant, it protects cells of the body from damage that results from chemical reactions in the body that produce oxygen free radicals that are damaging to tissue.
Manganese
Manganese is a trace mineral that is present in tiny amounts in the body. It is found mostly in bones, the liver, kidneys, and pancreas. Manganese helps the body form connective tissue, bones, blood clotting factors, and sex hormones.
Magnesium
Adequate magnesium levels help maintain normal muscle tissue, regulates heart rhythms, support immune function, and keeps nerves functioning properly. It Helps regulate energy metabolism, maintains blood sugar, and regulates calcium levels.
Pepcid
It is an anti-histamine to settle and soothe the stomch.
Selenium
Selenium plays an important role in the health of your immune system. This antioxidant helps lower oxidative stress in your body, which reduces inflammation and enhances immunity. Studies have demonstrated that increased blood levels of selenium are associated with enhanced immune response.
Vitamin B12
Also known as Cobalamin, vitamin B12 is a total team player. Vitamin B12 works with other B vitamins to produce red blood cells and help iron do its job. Since vitamin B12 is only found in animal products, studies show higher rates of deficiency in non-meat eaters.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C also known as Ascorbic Acid, provides protection against immune system deficiencies. It plays a role in oxidation/reduction reactions by eliminating toxic “free radicals” from the body.
Zinc
Zinc is a trace element that is necessary for a healthy immune system. A lack of zinc can make a person more susceptible to disease and illness.
Zofran
It is a fast acting, powerful anti-nausea medication.
